Op een prachtige zaterdag in maart heeft gids Matthew ons (3 personen) de East End Tour laten zien. Naast een aantal highlights zoals de South Bank en de Borough markt zijn we ook langs een aantal minder bekende plekken gereden. Aan de oostkant van Londen is zeker veel interesants te zien! Verschillende leuke kleine parkjes en mooie oude gebouwen en ook de Docks zijn zeker het zien waard. Matthew wist veel over de geschiedenis te vertellen en had grappige anekdotes. De route was absoluut veilig en door de vele korte stops tussendoor en de korte lunchpauze was 3,5 uur ook zeker niet te lang. In tegendeel: we hadden nog wel even door willen gaan. Absoluut een geweldige manier om de stad te verkennen. Kortom: zeer aan te raden!

My daughter and I did the East End tour in summer. We live near London and visit often but saw parts we had never been to before. You don't have to be very fit as we had lots of stops and didn't encounter too much traffic as the route was so well planned. Fantastic day and out and we will definitely go again. Had the privilege of getting a 1-2-1 tour through East London and had an amazing time! Have been in London for three years and have done a fair bit of cycling but discovered a lot of new places and loved the little stories Mathew can tell.

We had a tour of the East End on Sunday March 8th. The bikes were in great condition, gearing very simple, and safety helmets were provided. Mat made the tour enjoyable by staying off the beaten track and enabling us all to go at our own pace. There were enough little interesting stories, facts and sights to keep us fully occupied throughout the tour - in fact we could have spent a full day we enjoyed it so much. For any visitor to London who wants to try something a little different then contact Mat and arrange a bike tour - you won't regret it!
My experience of the bike tour was amazing, the day started with the worst weather one could hope for. Then I found that I was the only person who came ahead for the tour that day. As we began the journey, one of the tire of Mat's bike burst and I thought this would be a bad experience. But he not only fixed it in no time but also made sure that we have a wonderful trip. In the meantime the clouds gave way to a beautiful sunny day.
The sites we visited were carefully chosen, specially the place next to Buckingham Palace, the one with the most scenic view of the lake, with flowers and trees coving either sides. Matthew is an amazing person and he has lots of interesting stories about different places in London. So, if anyone of you reading this blog has any apprehensions before taking this tour, then I would suggest to leave them aside, cos this trip would be the one to remember for a lifetime. You can tell Matt continually strives to learn more and more information because he talks about listening to unsolved and solved London myths that he hears about on the radio.
It was a relaxed, enjoyable, safe and informative bike ride.
Had a fantastic time yesterday on my solo East End tour yesterday. Saw lots of fascinating places I never knew existed. All I have to do now is remember where they where so I can back again! Matt is a really knowledgeable guide, who goes out of his way to be accommodating. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Took my mum, dad and brother on the tour for mums 50th. We took the east end tour as we had already seen the major sites. We saw a completely different side to London which was so interesting and would never have come across otherwise. Mathew our guide was absolutely fantastic and I would recommend the tour to anybody, even if you think you know London well!! One of the best days out i've had in London!
